This glossary, while not exhaustive, represents definitions of key terms used in Brownfield Redevelopment and Green Economy Expansion in the Cook County and Calumet Regions to ensure ease of understanding. Some brownfield terms carry specific meanings in different contexts - program reporting, grant application, insurance navigation, development, etc. While this glossary provides definitions of terms used in this report, the resources below contain more comprehensive descriptions of key brownfields terminology.
